Requirements SME (TS/SCI with Poly), Herndon, VA
We are staffing a fulltime position as a Requirements Subject Matter Expert (SME) to facilitate and manage the source selection process to help our customer obtain mission critical products and services. The SME will support a variety of activities over the duration of acquisition planning spanning from the market research phase through final request for proposal release:
- Provide support and bring new processes and tools as well as lessons learned. Role will blend acquisition expertise with consulting skills to advise and guide acquisition teams through a timely and protest-resistant source selection process.
- Actively engage our customers, participate in information exchanges and actively monitor communications to stay current on acquisition objectives.
- Support requirements development (crafting SOWs/SOOs/PWS’) of many varieties – covering everything from simple goods and services… to complex mission IT
- Independently host/facilitation of contract strategy sessions with 5-10 senior program stakeholders. Job will involve processing real-time dialogue dictates and pivoting accordingly to navigate a host of contracting topics based on emerging priorities
- Assist program offices and contracting shops with the development of acquisition strategies, plans, and processes
- Recommend acquisition planning process improvements
- Support comprehensive RFP development and coordination, including necessary bidders library files and solicitation attachments
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a US CITIZEN and possess a Top Secret/SCI CI Polygraph Clearance with willingness to upgrade to FS Poly
- Bachelors of Art or Bachelors of Science Degree
- 8+ years’ of experience participating in or otherwise supporting Federal Government source selection activities
- 8+ years’ of acquisition experience, participating in or otherwise supporting federal government activities
- Strong background within the IC, emphasis on existing working knowledge of IC mission domain areas
- Recent and relevant experience in Government acquisition planning and execution
- Experience working with senior Government managers on acquisition planning and execution
- Strong attention to detail in evaluation criteria cross-walk reviews
- Knowledge of IC organization, mission, core values, and focus areas
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
- Strong professional written and verbal communications to aide facilitation/collaboration with program stakeholders
- Ability to identify, handle, and diffuse challenging situations
DESIRED:
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration
Any DAWIA Contracting Certification Level 3 or industry equivalent
